Description
The Callan Method
First developed and published in 1960, The Callan Method was published, for restricted use only, in 1963. The updated method we use now includes a revitalised vocabulary and idioms with more appropriate modern forms.
It is a direct method of learning English. Asking questions prompts and generates correct answers from the student. Guided by the teacher, the student is encouraged to speak fluently and naturally at conversational speed, according to the answers of the Callan Method. Mistakes are instantly corrected by the teacher, so that the learning process is as efficient as possible. A typical correction will adjust pronunciation, rhythm, and perhaps, choice of vocabulary.
The average student can progress through Stages 1 to 12 in around 10-14 months. At least four times faster than other methods of language acquisition, the Callan Method is an economical, practical and viable method of becoing a fluent and comprehensive English speaker.
****In addition to class based teaching, we also offer FCE, IELTS, Business and Conversational courses.****
